Unfortunately, there is no bus service from La Rochelle airport to Ile de Ré. Rental cars are available. Taxis are sometimes limited, so best to book in advance. Personal pickup direct to the apartment can be arranged on request, at a small cost.
The airports at Poitiers, Bordeaux, Nantes & Bergerac are also within driving distance (2-3 hours).
By rail: Train (SNCF) from Paris (Montparnasse) to La Rochelle takes approximately 3 hours.
By bus: There is a regular bus service from the train station at La Rochelle to Ile de Ré, takes about an hour. The bus stop in St Martin is only a short walk from the apartment (see Rébus link on left for timetable).
By road: Follow routes to La Rochelle (direction Bordeaux), then well sign posted route to Ile de Ré, via the toll bridge (toll 9€ winter, 16.50€ summer).
